With a background in songwriting, PR and marketing, heavy music, and music journalism, I started Noise Gate as a way to tell the stories of the underground music scene that has been so good to me.

I earned a bachelor's degree in songwriting and a master's degree in cultural apologetics. I later went on to teach collegiate songwriting, modern music, and music publicity and promotion while also working as a PR Account Executive at a full-service agency, which led to even more opportunities as an Associate Creative Director at a global leader in performance marketing and a Senior UX Writer at a research and product design agency, where I expanded my skillset into SEO, brand research, and content strategy.
Over the years, I've fronted a metalcore band, served as editor of HM Magazine, represented a growing roster of songwriters, bands, and music-based organizations, and have received placements in local, national, and trade publications. With more than 10 years of experience in the music industry as a publicist and performer, I'm versed and immersed in the process of creating, distributing, and marketing an album from conception to completion.
